The Golden Apple is for that professor who you will never forget.

It is for the professors who never forget us, the students.

It is for the teachers who challenge us with new ideas.

It is for those professors who inspire us each and every class.

The Golden Apple Award is the only award given by the students. It is our chance to make sure these professors are recognized for the special teachers that they are.

Past winners include Prof. Ananya Roy, Prof. Darren Zook,
Prof. David Presti, and Prof. Leon Litwack.

The winning professor is asked to deliver his or her "ideal last lecture" in late April and is presented with a cash grant to implement an innovative challenge to Cal students.
